IBM Global CFO Study

In 2010 IBM collected input from more than 1900 CFOs around the world.  IBM discovered that due to recent financial turbulance, Finance Organizations were taking on a greater strategic role in most organizations.  However, nearly 50% of the CFOs reported a widening gap in their organization's effectiveness, especially considering their broadening responsibilities and rising expectations.  IBM also learned that one group, which they termed Value Integrators, consistently and considerably outperformed their peers in every financial metric measured.  These Value Integrators were significantly more effective in measuring and monitoring business performance, deriving actionable and timely insight from information accross the enterprise, and in mitigating risk.  In short, they demonstrated Financial Agility and Business Insight.
